Sports cover for Sunday Midday, celebrating Muthiah Muralitharan's 700th test wicket. Apart from cartooning, if you enjoy doing design and graphics, you shouldn't avoid that opportunity. It makes you stay with the news.

Great page, Satish! Simplicity and clarity of content is the hallmark of any good design. This one certainly fits the definition.
My only peeve was that since cricket is a sport of figures and stats, maybe the edit team could have given you more numbers to play around with. Like bowling averages (Murali's world record), five-wicket hauls (Murali's another world record) and a comparison with Shane Warne. Of course, space is a luxury in a tabloid like Mid Day, but maybe you can enhance your design by adding more content.
But yes, it is a great page. Once again, congratulations. The shadow effect at the bottom looks fantastic and the size gradation of the cricket ball is perfect. The embedding of his expressive eyes in the Sport logo is a great idea, too.
Kopykatman! The super-flop hero, who's based on Suresh Nair's script which appears every week in Sunday Mid-Day. He's as much superhero as you and me! It's not complete till I tell you about his obsession, BIPASHA BASU! I sincerely wish he gets her someday. Suresh, are you listening? And John, watch out!
