10 second sketches!

For people who are wondering where do I get poses for my cartoon characters, here's the answer. These are the poses which are embedded in my mind. That's the strength of life-sketching. You sketch once and it remains with you for life. You unknowingly recollect the poses from your memory.

I was introduced to life-sketching through animation. We, a bunch of animation aspirants used to toil for hours sketching each other's poses. It was fun. The fun part of the sketching session was we had to capture the poses in 10-60 seconds! Though no details could be added, the idea was to get the strong pose, which adds so much life to the key drawings in animation. I still miss those sketching sessions! Here are some rough sketches which are done in 10 seconds.

nice ones for 10 seconds! I remember some friends from CAVA (Mysore) doing that regularly as assignment during their graduate course.

What about the surrounding objects? do not those draw your attention away for such quick observation?
