Shiv Sena backs Pratibha Patil, Midday 19th June '07

Shiv Sena was in dilemma regarding their support to UPA's presidential candidate Pratibha Patil. While some sections of the party refuse to accept her as 'PURE' Maharashtrian, the larger section views this as a chance to re-iterate Shiv Sena's Marathi Manoos belief. So, Finally they decided to back Pratibha Patil. But this move by the party heads stumped Shiv Sena's senior leader Manohar Joshi, who has been nurturing the dream of Vice-President's chair. Now, BJP is no mood to support his dream!
